Govt. Brennen College,
Dharmadam, Thalassery is one of the leading institutions of higher education in
Kerala. Started in 1862 as a free school by Sir Edward Brennen, the institution
became a First grade college in 1947. Government Brennen College is recognized
as a Centre of Excellence by the Government of Kerala and was accredited by
National Assessment and Accreditation Council with A Grade. This college was, all through these years a
throbbing witness and an active participant in the socio-cultural and
historical evolutions of the entire state.
The Department of
Chemistry of this institution was established in the year 1956. It offers three
year BSc Degree programme in Chemistry.
